Was out the other night giving starting the MK1 Golf cos it's hasn't seen daylight in so long and had it running in the garage for a few mins, When i noticed a bit pool of something underneath it ,,,,,, Thought it couldn't be water as it was at the back of the car...... Turned out to be Bloody petrol....... ! Close call..! Put out about half a tank of fuel on me. It was a conection going into the fuel pump that has corroded... So gonna have to get another one sorted as soon as possible.... Could have been a disaster as everything could have gone up in flames and lost both my toys as well as the garage... : ( Garage is STINKING now though... But just goes to show , these cars sitting about can be dangerous if their not checked, Cos i'd normally take it out for a bit of ragging when i start her up.. |
