Hi all I'm only getting into my beetles and on the market for a pre 67 and am just asking for a few pointers like what's the easiest way to identify a 1302 and a 1303 beetle by looking at the body cos I'm thinking bout just getting a pre 72 and changing the wings and so on just to give it the look I'm after but don't want to end up with the wrong body type Cheers |

Cheers everybody. At the min I'm looking on eBay and some of them don't say that much So am I right in saying the flat screen 02 the sloping lights and longer bonnet can still be fitted but the rear can't be changed to the longer lid |

0n the 1302 and 1303 from the a posts forward they are unique the early front wings and bonnet will not fit a 1302 or 1303 at the rear ie from the a posts back the body is almost the same from 1968 0n to convert the rear you will need to weld on a new pre 1967 rear valance and change the boot lid and wings but personaly i think a 1302 or 1303 with late style front and early style rear would look a bit strange if it was me i`d use a 1200 1300 1500 or 1600gt if you want to convert to an earlier look or buy a pre 1967 |
