But but but, it's the Daily Mail lol.

Would love to see the Cortina restyled in the same way that the new Mustang, Dodge Charger etc. was, i.e. modern technology but still retro looking but I can't see it.

Ford, if you're reading this, just start building new Mk2 Escort shells and I'll be happy enough :)

Don't like the first set of pics at all - hideous looking thing, but the second set look awesome. Properly a modern take on a classic design, and like Jim says the white one with the green stripe is proper quality.
If they build it I hope they don't change any of it and if it does hit the streets I would consider one. Would need to still be called Cortina.
Doubt it'll ever go further than the artist's sketch book though.

With the Bug, Mini , Fiat 500 and Scirocco making a comback you never know! Although thin abot time the brought out a proper Capri again!

Bug, 500 and Rocco definately made a come back - Mini never did!!! Bout time Ford did the Capri for sure. If it did come to fruition I'd definately consider one price depending.

No way did the Beetle make a comeback, the new one has absolutely nothing in common with the real one!!! To be honest the BMW Mini is a far better interpretation of the origional Mini that the new Beetle is of the origional Beetle.

Dont get me wrong, I would never have either of the new ones about me, but BMW did a far better job of recreating a design classic than the frankly hopeless effort from VW.

At least the new Beetle is still built by Volkswagen - the new MINI isn't even built by a British Company! More of a Maxi than a Mini.
